Augustine, Jan Hus, Martin Luther, Jonathan Edwards: These are a few of the Godly men that we learned about in our seminary class on Church History in January. For eight days we studied the beginnings and interweavings that the church took to arrive at its place today. We studied about Catholicism and how it changed over time, persecution of the early Christians, and many stories of how God grew the church and moved it along theologically. It was very interesting to me, especially while living in Europe where much of it took place.
After the class our whole family traveled to a conference in Turkey that takes place every four years. All the Cru staff in Eastern Europe and Russia came together for seven days to worship, share stories, and fellowship together. D.A. Carson was our speaker and we even heard him speak in a old Roman amphitheater. We actually got sick during the conference but still managed to talk to many old friends. A Furlough Need We are planning a furlough for mid August 2015 to mid February 2016. We are so looking forward to being in the States with family and friends. We are looking for an apartment/house in the Clemson area and we need to borrow a vehicle for the 6 of us or two small cars. If you or anyone you know could help with either of these needs we would be grateful. Please send us a email at: Jeremy.adams@cru.org Prayer Requests
