Around 1:30am in the morning on a Tuesday night a policeman approached three students and me suspiciously. We were on the main street of Kosice playing frisbee golf. He had his flashlight out and started questioning us. Since we are not used to talking to the police here, I am sure that we could not have looked more guilty. He asked us what we were doing and we told him we were just playing frisbee golf. That was the start of a fun night with these three students.
My job is basically to build relationships with students through different creative avenues and point them to Christ through words and my life. In the last month we have hosted a bowling party, a game night, a pumpkin party, a pizza hang out, and yes, playing frisbee golf on the empty streets of Kosice at 1 am. On Tuesday and Friday we were in two high schools meeting new students and telling them about how Americans celebrate Thanksgiving. The goal is to start talking to a few of them on Facebook and soon meet in person and share the gospel with them. And last weekend seven of us guys boarded a train for an overnight hike to the Tatry Mountains. Please pray for these activities to draw students to us and into a relationship with Jesus. Prayer Requests
