On March 26th at 3:30pm six high school guys entered our apartment for the first student Bible study that I have ever led here in Slovakia. They came mainly because of Martin’s loving encouraging invitation. We studied about the sinful woman being forgiven from Luke 7:36-50. We first read it in Slovak and then in English. Then to help us observe the story even better we chose three of the guys to act it out as I read. It was pretty entertaining for the guys as the sinful woman (Filip) acted out kissing the feet of Jesus (Marek). Then we asked four simple questions to highlight the truth taught in the passage and lastly how to apply that truth. The guys enjoyed it. The cherry on top of the Bible study was the cheese cake that I made. I think the guys were loved and challenged with truth.
Other activities we used during March to speak truth into students lives and build relationships with them include: a weekend retreat, a ropes course, indoor rock climbing on Tuesdays, camping in the snow, weekly English Club, and a black light party. Check out our website for more pictures. Blitz Week - SpeakOut Promo We have around 18 Americans coming in a week to help us promote our English camps that happen in July. We will be around 30 strong and will enter Kosice high schools. Our goal is to find 90 students to attend our SpeakOut English camp where they will hear the gospel multiple times and really experience Christ love poured out through us. Prayer Requests
