Five Americans, nine Slovak staff, and one British guy visited 10 high schools, taught 50 classes, and threw a Texas party in one week. We call this Blitz Week. We promoted our SpeakOut English Camps in front of around 1,250. Maybe you can come for the next Blitz Week in March 2015.
As a team we challenged 12 of our students to sign a covenant to be part of our ministry. We are very proud of the eight students that signed it. Now we have leadership students that are committed and helping us to reach their fellow students. It is really encouraging to slowly see our students grow in their relationship with God and start taking the gospel to their schools and home to their families.
Nicole and Martin continue to be a source of encouragement to Dara and I. It is amazing to see how their hearts and perspective on life changes as we regularly meet with them and point them to Christ. Yesterday I was teaching Martin about justification by faith. He was really enjoying the truth that we were instantly forgiven and given Christ’s righteousness. So when God looks at us, He sees the righteousness of Christ. (2 Cor 5:21) Nicole just returned from a Slovak Christian conference that focused on working with youth. After the conference she met with Dara for three hours and told Dara all that she had learned. The conference was about putting God first.
During our SpeakOut Camp we need a girl to help Dara with the kids. Dara will be 8 months pregnant and have 3 little ones to run after in the hotel. I am really busy during the camp and not much help. If you know any high school or college girl that may be interested to come to Slovakia as a babysitter for the month of July, please send us an email soon!
